ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Include special duties and responsibilities) /

This individual will focus on video/audio/data based application running in embedded operating system.

Job responsibility:

1.         Design,develop and test high performance, highly optimized real time embedded application for multimedia communication products.

2.         Analyze product requirements and participate in product definition

3.         Requirements gathering, architecture design and documentation.

4.         Object oriented software design and implementation within real-time embedded system architecture; make it work in cross-platform environment.

5.         Diagnose and troubleshoot software problems;

6.         Works with cross functional teams including SQA and other software group (DSP, platform).

7.         Manage a software team, make plan, dispatch tasks, monitor progress, coordinate teamwork to reach objective.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Include education, technical expertise, skills and experience required)  /

1.         Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related, Master degree is preferred;

2.         5+ years embedded software system design and development experience;

3.         Solid C/C++ programming skills; Must have experience object oriented porgramming;

4.         Must have experience in programming under Linux, experience with vxWorks and Win32 is desired.

5.         Solid understanding of TCP/IP network architecture, experience with SIP or H.323 is desirable.

6.         Must have experience in audio/video communication application, experience with VOIP or videoconferencing is desired.

7.         Experience with source code control tools like CVS, Clear Case and so on.

8.         Experience with bug track tools like JIRA, Bugzilla and so on.

9.         Experience with managing an over 5 people development team, capable of team management.

10.     Strong problem-solving ability, open and active in facing challenge, and drive team member to overcome it.

11.      Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, including Chinese and English,
