JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The SSP Analyst will play a key role in the strategy development effort for field service support requirements on all capital equipment for Fab 68. Responsibilities center on determining and implementing the correct service support models over time to cost-effectively maintain the fab equipment. This person will also participate in designing the Supplier Service Team¡¯s roles to support start up and sustaining operations. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and manage effective supplier management practices for F68 factory customers.
Following completion of the startup phase, this person will work to continually improve service efficiency and costs.
Some specific responsibilities include:
- Learn Company culture and systems
- Implement Supplier management systems
- Provide ongoing cost tracking, forecasting, presentations, etc. to hit SSP cost goals and overall supplier management.
- Work with our training counterparts to implement the SSP strategy; to understand, forecast, and obtain commitments for the training capacity to start-up the tools and reduce costs over time as the fab ramps.
- Establish and run systems to bring in and assimilate green badge personnel, follow up with stakeholders and suppliers on service and quality issues, etc.
- Partner with key internal/external stakeholders to identify & implement solutions so waste elimination benefits and cost reduction are realized.
- Interface with SSP counterparts in other Company factories to understand and build on lessons learned from previous start-ups.
- Analyze and evaluate options from large, and sometimes complex data sets
- Distill analyses¡¯ results and options into simple, straightforward communication.
- Create and execute to financial forecasts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Desired experience and skills to be considered a viable candidate for this position:
1) Direct experience in implementing and managing contracts and supplier service management.
2) Supplier management experience and an understanding of key fab suppliers and functional area requirements for equipment service personnel. The candidate will need to understand or learn Company¡¯s commercial and contracting requirements, and also the fab¡¯s technical, service level, and cost needs.
3) Demonstrated, effective verbal and written communications and problem solving skills are required. The position typically requires a BS in a Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering discipline plus at least 2 years of related experience or equivalent.
4) The position requires some international travel to other Company TMG sites with a potential temporary assignment culminating in a permanent assignment in Dalian, China.
5) Strong personal and leadership skills are required:
- The candidate must be able to bring groups with diverse interests and goals together and obtain their commitment to a single, integrated plan which meets Fab68¡¯s business goals for key toolsets.
- The individual will need to create and maintain strong feedback loops between suppliers and stakeholders, to ensure we achieve service quality and cost goals.
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in written form.
Given this is a startup and in a new Company location, the candidate will need to tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate flexibility due to inevitable surprises.
