Job descritpion

The UMG Platform Software Group PRC engineering team in Ultra Mobile Group define, develop and validate software products and solution stacks for Mobile Internet Device/Ultra Mobile PC based on Company's cutting edge low power technologies. We are looking for highly motivated and experienced software testing engineers to join our engineering team. The candidate will work with multiple partners/stakeholders in US, India and other international locations.

 

 

In this position, you will work on the validation of software products and solution stacks for UMG products. You will be responsible for not only validating device drivers, application components, but also the whole SW/HW platform at the system level. You may work with development team to ensure the high quality of the software and solution. You are expected to help define test plan, develop test suite, test automation and execute test procedures. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- System/Regression test infrastructure setting up

- Test case designing, test automation solution (process and/or methodologies) defining, test script developing for efficient validation

- Test procedure executing, test result reporting and debugging via working closely with development, validation engineers to analyze and debug problems

 

Job Requirement

You should possess a Master or bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering. 

- Good understanding of software testing methodology and software development process, primarily concentrating on Linux but also involving Microsoft versions as well

- Strong software background, including experience with Linux* OS, drivers/kernel and applications

- Experienced in C/Shell/Perl/PHP programming

- A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills(in both English and Mandarin)

 

The following qualifications would be added advantages

- Familiar with open source development models. Experience of working in open source software project would be an added advantage

- Good understanding of Company IA-32 architecture and Linux operating system
