The mission of the Corporate Technology group is to drive Company's technology leadership. This includes coordinating research and development among several business groups and aligning Company's strategies and technologies with industry needs. The goal is to accelerate the convergence of computing and communications.

 

 

CTL Beijing lab (CBL) is a research and technology development lab within Company China Research Center (ICRC) in Beijing. Its mission is to make CTL Beijing lab the best Communications Technology research and technology development lab in China. Its charter includes conducting world-class research and technology development, partner with Company biz groups to max cross-architecture value and drive Company communications technology leadership in China. In this position, you will be contributing to an ongoing joint research project in the area of video over wireless related to Company LPCA platforms, with strong research capability, technical skill and team work experience, who can work with other team members in Beijing lab to achieve its mission by working with other research labs of Company across the world and China academia and to deliver world class technologies which will have the impact on product groups' roadmap and influence China market and Govt/industry standards.

 

 

You must possess a Ph.D. and/or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related area on video and/or wireless research and hands-on development experiences is also necessary. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Strong knowledge in video and wireless
- Research and Development experience in video over wireless
- Hands-on Experience on protocol stack is preferred
- Familiarity with video over wireless system level design, and its methodology
- Familiarity with the simulation method and tools
- Good team player, self motivated and proactive in daily work
- Excellent oral and written English
- Experience in software development would be an added advantage
