GSM Senior SW Architect

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.
The GSM Senior SW Architect is responsible for both technical coordination in the SW development projects and implementing the strategic direction of the company¡¯s system architecture.
The participation in the SW development projects includes scope management technical drive, feature development supervision, project system team leadership and technical coordination at a system level.
The role is also responsible for managing the successful implementation of the system architecture requirements across the SOMC architecture and development groups.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. High level requirement analysis including system impact, risk and effort estimations.
2. System level design, architectural documentation and guidelines.
3. Review of high level and detailed design including coaching.
4. Concept study coordination and technical evaluation.
5. Process related improvements: Guidelines, Best practices
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
1. >8 years of mobile phone development experience including practical experience on Android platform.
2. Strong competency in Java, Linux and C/C++ development in the context of mobile phone and web services development.
3. Strong competency in SW design and SW development methodology.
Other Good written and spoken English/Chinese.
Good team work and communication competency.
Experience of cross-functional collaboration at a global level. |
