Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.

The role of Senior System Engineer is to take charge of Hardware System design in the whole product life circle from the pre-study to mass production phase. He/She will be one member of system/platform project and product project, work together with other Hardware function and related Software function team to solve system level issues. He/She will be responsible for driving System architecture and requirements for SOMC Core Platforms, coordinating internal peers and external platform vendor, making contribution to improve working process. He/She guarantees the system level risk of the products can be minimized or be well controlled to match project schedule according to company's process. 

 

1. Participate in Concept phase and perform system technology studies, give input to the project on the amount of work and time required as well as the scope needed for the platform and product project. Evaluate different platform or product alternatives.

2. Coordinates core platform project with product projects, Support requirement Soc and technical dialog with operators, platform vendors and other suppliers.

3. Deliver KCL configuration, HW architecture, HW configuration spec and other platform related document towards projects.

4. Take lead for resolving critical system issues throughout the project lifecycle.

5. Make contribution on working process improvement.

2. Be willing to take ownership and drive efficiency improvement.

3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
