Senior Manager of Technology

Roles & Responsibilities:
A self motivated strong leader and energetic driver with strategic mind will be primarily
leading Technology team to drive technologies in standardization, technology discussions
with operators and industry partners, as well as new technology research for Company
China.
The selected candidate will be required to:
• work with operators in greater China to align global technologies and drive these global
technologies into the regional market to the best interests of Company.
• closely monitor China unique technologies and timely feed/report to global teams to ensure
Company global products always comply with greater China market.
• continously work with gov. entities, industry partners and universities on standarization,
external innovation collaborations.
• Lead and drive innovations in both IPR generation and research activities in SOMC China.
• act as an technical advisor for both head Sales and Marketing and head of BJ Dev.,
supporting all high level technical related meetings with operators, gov. and industry
partners.
• lead technology BJ team to work very closely with Company China Sales & marketing team
and BJ development team to help dev. team on technology studies and evaluations.
• Manage daily biz of Technology BJ team and drive the performance of the team.
Qualification:
The successful candidate for this role should be:
• Bachelor¡¯s or Master's of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum
of 15 years experience on the technical side in Telecom or mobile communication industries.
• Expereience and track record on technical leadership positions.
• A strategic thinker with strong industry technology vision.
• With solid up-to-date mobile communication knowledge on both global and China specifics,
especially in-depth understandings of China mobile business and technologies.
• Broad knowledge in multiple function areas for mobile device, including multimedia, access
technologies, networking protocols and various mobile communication protocols etc.
• A good manager and team leader with innovative thinking to make differences. A result
oriented leader taking the ownership to drive technology oriented differciators into Company products.
